As part of our 75th Aniversary in the Fall of 2004, the NC State College of Natural Resources commissioned John Golden, a Wilmington NC artist, to produce a series of four serigraphs to commemorate the event.
About the Serigraph Series
The style of the series is reminiscent of the National Park Services’ posters originally produced from 1939 to 1040 as part of President Roosevelt’s
New Deal under the Works Progress Administration (WPA).
The Federal Art Project (FAP) employed artists in all 48 states
and received 1% of the WPA’s total budget making it the largest single employer of artists in American history.
An additional serigraph was created to commemorate the 25th Anniversary of our Camcore tree domestication and conservation program.
A limited number of the prints are still available for purchase.
