For over 75 years the NC State College of Natural Resources
has been a leading force in natural resource education, research
and service.
Our graduates hold leadership positions in government, industry
and natural resource advocacy.
Our internationally acclaimed faculty make a difference
daily through professional education, research and extension
activities that support three of the top five industries
in North Carolina- forest products, wood and paper products
and tourism.
Over 900 undergraduate and 200 graduate students are enrolled
in our 3 departments – Forestry and Environmental Resources;
Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management; and Wood and Paper
Science. Through undergraduate research, industry co-ops and
internships, and challenging classroom activities, our students
are mastering fundamentals and gaining critical thinking skills.
Our learners become the leaders guiding our world’s natural
