NC Biofuels Center to participate in NCSU workshop on bioenergy

N.C. State University Extension Forestry will host a one-day workshop, “Wood to Energy: Promoting Bioenergy in Your Neck of the Woods,” on 6 March 2012 in Raleigh. The workshop will include presentations on a variety of issues, including an overview of biomass resources in North Carolina, biomass policies, and ongoing challenges facing the bioenergy industry.

Terry Carter, Biofuels Center director of eastern and military partnerships, will provide a current status summary of the biofuels industry in North Carolina. The update will include a look at recent federal actions by the U.S. Department of Defense designed to encourage increased utilization of biofuels by the military.
