Description

The intern will assist Water Quality Specialists in various activities that may include stream monitoring in wet and dry weather conditions, lake water quality monitoring, benthic macroinvertebrate sampling, inspections of stormwater best management practices, and citizen concerns. In addition, the intern may be assigned independent projects depending on skills and/or interests. This position will be primarily field oriented (not lab oriented) and may entail performing fieldwork during inclement weather conditions and carrying equipment over sloped or uneven terrain.

Qualifications

The Water Quality Section of the City of Greensboro’s Stormwater Management Division is offering a summer internship position for an undergraduate or graduate student interested in water resources, surface water quality, and/or environmental fields.

Approx $9.00 per hour
