What Sort of Scholarships Does the FB Department Offer?
FB has a considerable endowment that permits a large number of scholarships to be awarded to both incoming freshmen and upperclassmen. These awards, combined with well-paying summer internships and semester co-op jobs, allow many students to finance a large portion of their undergraduate education.
Study Abroad
Students in Forest Biomaterials are encouraged to take advantage of the many global opportunities offered through the Department, College and University. Below are some of the key international opportunities available through the Department.
- Paper International Experience (P.I.E.)
- Transatlantic Paper Science Program (TAPS)
- Brazil-US Exchange Program
Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate research is an important part of a student's academic career. Forest Biomaterials faculty frequently have opportunities to engage undergraduates in their research. Funding for student research is often available. Students wishing to pursue research should contact Dr. Richard Venditti or their academic advisor to learn more about current projects in FB.
