When you pursue your graduate studies at NC State University’s Department of Forest Biomaterials (FB), you are joining a community of research-oriented industry leaders committed to pushing the envelope of knowledge in wood products, paper and science engineering and forest biomaterials. Our faculty frequently partners with industry leaders or other organizations to address cutting-edge scientific and technical issues as well as the broader environmental and financial concerns effecting these global sectors. Graduate Degree Options
There are four graduate degree options available through FB, including a 100% distance-based Master's program for industry professionals with at least one year of relevant industry experience, a non-thesis, professional degree program for students whose primary interests do not include research and a PhD track that includes an option in Forest Biomaterials.
