The National Association of Environmental Professionals, NC State Student Chapter is an organization open to all students, faculty, and staff of NC State University.

Their goals are to:

  • provide a forum for students, faculty, and staff with varied backgrounds to exchange information, ideas, and experiences.
  • promote the advancement of interdisciplinary environmental education, research, planning, assessment, review, and management.
  • promote an on-campus awareness of pertinent environmental issues and ideas that affect natural resources and peoples at the local, regional, national, and international levels.
  • stimulate students to pursue greater knowledge and appreciation of the complex environmental issues facing the area surrounding the university, the state, and the nation through lectures, seminars, and field activities.
  • facilitate career interests, contacts, and opportunities for students, especially those in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences.

The NC State chapter of NAEP adheres to the NAEP, Inc. Bylaws and Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice for Environmental Professionals. Membership in the organization is open to all students, faculty and alumni of the university with a professional interest in any environmentally related field. Voting members include undergraduate and graduate level students enrolled in environmentally related degree programs and who attend at least one regular meeting per semester. Students are encouraged to become individual members on both the local and national levels of the organization.
