CAFS 2009 Meeting
About the meeting:
On February 10-12, 2009, the Center for Advanced Forestry Systems (CAFS), a National Science Foundation (NSF) Industry/University Cooperative Research Center (I/UCRC) will hold its second annual Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) meeting at the Doubletree Guest Suites Charleston-Historic District, Charleston, South Carolina.
The meeting will focus on the interaction between the university researchers and IAB members to gain formal and informal feedback on current project progress and project proposals, as well as opportunities for networking. Day 1 will start at 8:30am, February 10, so those traveling from other time zones may consider arriving on the 9th. At no additional fee, an optional field tour on the 12th will be hosted by ArborGen.
UPDATES:
Through the generosity of ArborGen, a cocktail hour and dinner has been added Wednesday, February 11, at no additional cost to CAFS attendees!
Meeting registration and the room block rate has been extended to January 22, 2009.
Who should attend:
CAFS researchers and IAB members. Visit the CAFS Membership Page. This year we will be welcoming members of three new sites: University of Georgia, University of Maine, and University of Washington.
What you should bring :
If you have one available, please bring a laptop with wireless internet capability for online completion of Level of Interest Feedback Evaluation (LIFE) forms. For the field trip, bring field clothes.

Registering to attend the CAFS Meeting:
Registration is $200 and includes: both days of indoor sessions, Tuesday's reception, Wednesday's cocktails and dinner hosted by ArborGen, and the optional field trip on the third day. Registration has been extended to January 22, 2009. You may use one of two methods for registering:
