M.S. Research Assistantship Opportunity

A two year M.S. Research Assistantship is available with the School of Forest Resources at the University of Arkansas- Monticello. This assistantship carries a stipend of $15,000 per year plus tuition and fee waivers.

Requirements:
Satisfactory GRE scores
B.S. degree in soil science, forestry, chemistry, biology, or related field

Project: A highly motivated Master’s student is sought to quantify the variation in soil physical properties across forested wetlands in southeastern Arkansas. This project will contribute to the multidisciplinary study of wetlands and wetland restoration in the region. The starting date for the project is August 16, 2012. Desirable qualifications include prior field and laboratory experience with sampling and analyzing soils and vegetation.
