Description
Specialist in the Safety and Health Department responsible for ensuring safe operations in a manufacturing division. Specific duties include determining and communicating safe actions and procedures, anticipating dangerous conditions and recommending countermeasures, performing risk assessments, advising on regulatory requirements, writing company policies, presenting and training on safety topics, Investigating accidents and following-up, supporting associate driven kaizen efforts, selecting appropriate PPE, performing machine checks, aiding in chemical selection, responding to emergencies and other related safety duties.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree
Must demonstrate an acceptable working knowledge of applicable federal regulatory standards, to include ANSI and other advisory bodies. Must be willing to work overtime/ weekends/modified schedules as needed. Must be able to work well in a team environment.
