One of Australia's largest private plantation companies has an opportunity for a wellqualified
Forest Roads Engineer. The company manages extensive softwood and
hardwood plantations in the State of Victoria.
The Forest Roads Engineer will be based at Churchill in the beautiful Latrobe Valley,
close to the city of Traralgon and about 150 km to the major city of Melbourne.
Churchill has a population of 5,000 and is in a picturesque mountain region.
This newly created position manages all facets of the extensive road network across
the plantation estate. All road operations are in accordance with the company's
leading environmental and safety standards.
Applicants will have relevant and contemporary experience in forest road
construction in diverse conditions, maintenance, upgrading, planning and budgeting.
Demonstrated experie.nce of at.least 5 years in directing and negotiating with
contractors is essential. High level communication, team and computer skills are
required together with an aptitude for working in a commer:cial environment.
Preference is for persons·wlth a degr_ee in forest engineering and RPF status.
A competitive remuneration will be negotiated to secure the best candidate including
competitive salary, benefit package, 9% pension funding, bonus up to 15% and
vehicle.
