NC State University Aquatic Sciences Day Camp 2012
On Saturday, April 21st, 2012, the NC State University Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology Program held the third annual Aquatic Sciences Day Camp. On the agenda was a day of fun and learning for students to focus on activities and hands-on activities related to aquatic ecology, fisheries, aquaculture, and aquatic animal health.
The day camp is taught by NC State University professors and graduate students actively engaged in research and teaching. Participating students are chosen among highly accomplished and motivated high school students with interests in aquatic ecology, fish biology, aquaculture, conservation biology, veterinary medicine, fisheries management, or related fields. The hands-on experiences and training that participants receive help them identify career paths, make contacts in the scientific community, and build credentials for a future application to NC State.

This year was another great success! What does Aquatic Sciences Day Camp look like?
