NRLI Work Session

The Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources (FER) is helping professionals develop their skills in many ways. Since 1995, many professionals have developed their public policy skills through the Natural Resources Leadership Institute (NRLI). The Institute, a North Carolina Cooperative Extension program, is a partnership between the College of Natural Resources, the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, the Cooperative Extension Service and the UNC Institute of Government's Public Dispute Resolution Program.

By helping people communicate in a more meaningful and effective way, the Natural Resources Leadership Institute is building the capacity for North Carolina's environmental leaders to move beyond conflict and find more effective and implementable solutions in their jobs, organizations, and communities.

The Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources is proud to be a partner in this effort.
