Undergraduates

Promo Area

FER is working to encourage new generations of natural resource leaders from all areas of our society. One case in point: our innovative academic program, EnvironMentors, is a national pilot program aimed at preparing traditionally under-represented student populations for careers in environmental sciences and natural resources. This unique mentoring program pairs NC State graduate students, professors and natural resources professionals with high school students for a year. During this time period, students are required to develop environmentally-based science projects and present them to elementary school students as well as at an annual science fair.
