Environmental Technology integrates the biological and chemical mechanisms of environmental processes with knowledge of monitoring and assessment techniques, management, policy and communications. Fisheries & Wildlife Sciences emphasizes the sciences behind the ecological principles affecting the world’s fish and wildlife populations plus the theories driving socioeconomics. By teaching you how to apply these principles to natural resource management, this program prepares you for positions in government agencies, non-profit organizations or private industry. Forest Management balances an understanding of the natural cycles of forests with the needs of communities and forest owners. It combines instruction in science, economics, sociology and technology to teach students how to assess, monitor, manage and improve the health of forest resources. Natural Resources-Ecosystem Assessment is a science-based program that teaches you how to measure and monitor the status of natural resources and the environment. Natural Resources-Policy & Administration teaches you how to understand, create, implement and manage natural resources programs. It also covers economics, policy and government and public administration. It is a good degree choice if you are seeking a career in the public sector or as a liaison for a private company. Environmental Science-Watershed Hydrology applies the science of water within the context of natural landscapes and the effects of human activity on water. It also includes coursework in soils and engineering and features a heavy emphasis on computer applications, all in preparation for a career in a government agency or private company.
