DETAILS

About the Camp

DFER summer camp is an opportunity for students who are interested in natural resources to spend a week exploring the majors within the College of Natural Resources’ Forestry and Environmental Resources department.  DFER camp raises the awareness of the impact of natural resources on our world.

Students will work with DFER professors and CNR students on projects involving various disciplines within DFER, Fisheries and Wildlife, Forest Management, Environmental Technology, Natural Resources Ecosystems, and Environmental Science.

Camp projects give participants an opportunity to work in teams, to be creative and think critically about the environment and its resources.  Camp also allows participants to share their camp experience with parents at the end of camp on that Friday.  Camp is also a wonderful opportunity for students to meet other students from across NC.
