Degree programs in the College of Natural Resources may be tailored to a variety of specialized and interdisciplinary topics.
All departments that offer a graduate program are affiliated with NC State’s Graduate School. The Grad School maintains admission standards and exercises control over all graduate degree programs. Graduate students are admitted to the University through NC State’s Graduate School to work on a degree program in a specific department. Faculty in the specific departments review applications and make recommendations to the Graduate School regarding the admission of applicants to their departments.

Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management
Graduate degrees from the PRTM department include the PhD, Master of Science and Master of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, and the Dual Master of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management and Public Administration. PRTM also administers 2 technical options in the Masters of Natural Resources Program:

- Master of Geospatial Science and Technology - offered jointly by the departments of Forestry & Environmental Resources and Parks,Rrecreation & Tourism Management.
- Master of Environmental Assessment - offered jointly by the departments of Forestry and Environmental Resources in the College of Natural Resources and Biology in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. This is a distance education only degree.
