 Whoever you are and whatever your interests, there's a place for you at NC State! The PGM faculty and staff want each NC State student to benefit from a well-rounded educational and college life experience. While at NC State you will take a variety of courses in many discipline areas including English, Math, Pyschology, Sociology, Ecology, Business, Physical Education and Parks, Recreation & Tourism Management (see curriculum). We also encourage student participation in the many activities and student organizations across campus. PGM students have participated in Student Government, music groups, competitive club sports, intramural sports, Greek Life organizations, College of Natural Resources Ambassadors, Rho Phi Lambda – PRTM Honors Fraternity and other University Honors programs. Students are also involved in many service learning (community service) activities throughout the course of their educational career. PGM students complete 16 months of internship/co-op work experiences at approved golf facilities under the direction of Class-A PGA Professionals and PGM faculty members. Students are encouraged to research the facilities where they would like to work, and PGM faculty and staff are always available to assist students in locating appropriate facilities. Our goal is to provide students with the best possible experiences in a variety of locations.
