Curriculum

The PGM curriculum includes both general education and PGM core requirements. General Education requirements include courses in writing and speaking, mathematic & natural sciences, humanities & social sciences, and physical education.

The PGM core requirements include several courses required of all students in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, as well as specific courses required for all PGM majors. Students are required to complete a series of courses from the College of Management which will constitute a minor in Business, as well as specific courses in Turfgrass Management, Food and Beverage Management and Golf Course Architecture.

Students must pass the checkpoint tests for the PGA Professional Golf Management Levels I, II and III and the Playing Ability Test prior to graduation.
