RECENT ALUMNI UPDATES
Adrienne Wallace (Natural Resources Management -1998), has been named the first superintendent of the new Chimney Rock State Park which is under development in Rutherford County according to the NC Division of Parks and Recreation. She was formerly superintendent of Mayo River State Park. Chimney Rock State Park was authorized in 2005 by the NC General Assembly. Wallace will play a key role as the state parks system continues land acquisition in Hickory Nut Gorge, further integrates Chimney Rock Park as a state parks entity, and develops a master plan for the state park as a whole. She is a certified environmental educator and a law enforcement instructor for the state parks system.
Clay Garland (Professional Golf Management - 2007) is the general manager of the new Athletic Nation of the Triangle, Men's Personal Training Gym. Garland has developed and implemented a comprehensive golfer development program for the franchise which has facilities in California, Florida, Texas, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Arizona. Athletic Nation of the Triangle is the first Athletic Nation franchise in the Carolinas.
