Specialty/Current Research Interests:
Teaching emphasis in sport management. His research interests focus on the youth sport experience and its correlates. Examples of current and ongoing research include:
- the role that parents play in facilitating the affective reactions of youth sport participants;
- an examination of the factors that contribute to highly committed parental behaviors in youth sports;
- the efficacy of school based intramural sports programs in promoting physical activity among children and the predictive relationship between school sports (intramural vs. interscholastic) and long term sport participation;
- student perceptions and use of new technologies in online education
