CNR Small Groups

Get a head start on joining the Wolfpack family by joining a CNR Small Group! Start making friends and building community now to make the most of your time a NC State. The CNR Small Group program pairs you with a group of incoming students with shared interests and an upperclassmen group leader who will be your personal guide to all things CNR! This is a 6-week long program, from June 23 – July 27 and is open to ALL incoming students including transfer and non-traditional.

The CNR Small Groups consist of three components:

1. Weekly Meetings
Small Groups will meet weekly, virtually on Tuesday nights to casually hang out, play games, discuss topics such as time management, balancing academics and social life, etc, and get to know your group mates and future classmates.

Busy on Tuesday evenings? No problem! Let us know in the form which days you can meet with your group!

2. GroupMe Chat
Each Small Group will have an active GroupMe with all group members which will be used for any announcements, student questions, check-ins, and group bonding.

3. Individual Weekly Check-Ins
Group Leaders will be checking in with each member of their group weekly. This could be a phone call, Zoom meeting, or a direct message via GroupMe. These check-in’s are designed for students to be able to ask any questions they may have about the university and CNR and for group leaders to make sure they are ready for their transition to NC State.

All group meetings will be held at 8:00 p.m. EST directly after CNR Chats
