Richard L. Lemaster graduated with a B.S. (1977) in Forestry from Oklahoma State University, a M.S. (1979) in Wood Science from Colorado State University, and a PhD (2004) in Wood and Paper Science from North Carolina State University. While working on his M.S. he worked as a Research Assistant in the Department of Forestry at Colorado State University. He then worked as an Assistant Specialist in the Forest Products Laboratory at the University of California at Berkeley. He has worked as a Program Leader and a Research Leader at the University of California at Berkeley as well. Mr. Lemaster joined the Department of Wood and Paper Science in 1993 as a Research Associate. In 2005 Dr. Lemaster became a research professor in the Department of Wood and Paper Science.
