A free, in-person workshop based in and around Raleigh, NC for extension professionals across the country interested in learning more about wildland fire.  The workshop will include:

• Presentations and hands-on activities related to extension wildland fire programs
• Discussions of strategies for fire science communication and education
• Meeting with a local prescribed burn association
• Participation in a prescribed burn (weather permitting)

Please register by no later than May 26, 2023. Seats are limited.

This workshop complements the asynchronous online course, “Cooperative Extension Service: Prescribed Fire” (https://go.ncsu.edu/cesrxfire). Participants are recommended (but not required) to complete the special synchronous session of this course in May, prior to the workshop.
