The Office of Diversity and Inclusion at NC State’s College of Natural Resources is pleased to announce that Ricky Leung, director of North Carolina Asian Americans Together, will facilitate the next DIRE Dialog seminar. Funded by the Duke Energy Foundation, the DIRE seminar series aims to address the discrimination and systemic inequalities faced by marginalized individuals in fields related to natural resources. The goals of the upcoming seminar are to discuss dismantling the Model Minority Myth in America, connect how this myth applies to the recent events and hate crimes, and how to engage in active and positive ways to support students, staff and faculty in the Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders (AAPI) community.
