DIRE Dialog with Brenda Brickhouse – Equity and Environmental Justice: Decarbonization and the clean energy transition
November 18 | 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
Please join us for the next DIRE Dialog: Thursday, Nov 18th at 12-noon
The upcoming DIRE Dialog series tackles the hard topic of Equity and Environmental Justice. While we all have a general understanding of equity, fairness, balance, and access, environmental justice and equity may be less understandable, particularly coming from a place of privilege. For the majority of us, we don’t have to worry about the safety of the water we drink, the air we breathe, the food we eat, or the ground we live on making our children sick. This is unfortunately not true everywhere, or for all people. While equity and environmental justice are inextricably linked, the issues are also so very diverse and all pertinent to the work we do in the College of Natural Resources, and who we are as leaders in promoting a safe, clean, fair, and equitable world for all.
Please join us for the next Diversity, Inclusion, and Racial Equity (DIRE) Dialog session with Brenda Brickhouse as she shares with us some of the work that she’s been involved in around equity and environmental justice, in relation to decarbonization and the clean energy transition.
