Making Yourself Competitive for Graduate School Workshop

LOCATION: Piedmont-Mountains Ballroom – Talley Student Union
Undergraduates are invited to a workshop entitled: “Making Yourself Competitive for Graduate School.” Sponsored by the NC State University Graduate School, this workshop will address questions, such as:
How do you choose a graduate program?
What can you do NOW to prepare for graduate school?
What criteria are used in making admissions decisions?
How can you make an application more competitive?
What funding opportunities are available at the graduate level?
Dr. David Shafer, Assistant Dean of the Graduate School, will lead the workshop. He will be joined by a panel of graduate faculty with experience in reviewing applications for their respective graduate programs.
It is never too early to start preparing for graduate school! Students at all stages of their undergraduate education are encouraged to attend.
NOTE: Specific information related to applying to professional degree programs (e.g., MD, DVM, MBA) will not be addressed in this particular workshop.
