Most Congenial Senior
This past April at the 2015 PSE Senior Banquet, Jared Saintsing, a Pulp and Paper Scholar from High Point, NC, won the Most Congenial Senior award. The award is bestowed by fellow classmates to those who are kind and bring a smile to their peers in the senior class.
After receiving the award, Jared was quoted saying, “I am surprised and humbled that my classmates would choose me – what an honor!”
Jared started working in Canton, NC, with Evergreen Packaging as a Systems Control Engineer. He previously worked on a co-op with Domtar in Ashdown, AR, during the fall of 2012. Jared also interned with Qualicaps in Whitsett, NC, during the summers of 2013 and 2014.
While at NC State, Jared enjoyed taking trips backpacking, tailgating, attending basketball games, and taking cruises for Spring Break. Particular to PSE, Jared’s best experiences included working in the pilot plant with Kevin Wise, cooking out during Dr. Jameel’s pulping lab, hanging out in the TAPPI Lounge, spending time eating cookies and making paper with Dr. Heitmann and going out to dinner with Dr. Jameel and Dr. Byrd.
