During the first full week of December, NC State’s campus is buzzing.  It is unclear if this is due to everyone’s increased caffeine intake or a spike in anxiety levels, whatever the reason, exams are looming and students were feeling the pressure.  But, for a group of lucky seniors, this would be the last time they would experience that feeling, the last time they would scramble to find study space in Hunt Library, the last time they would consume their weight in coffee, and the last time they would take a final exam as an undergraduate at North Carolina State University.

Smooth Transition for Dedicated Seniors

On December 16th, the Paper Science and Engineering program graduated 18 students and sent them into industry.  Four (or five) years of hard work and dedication prepared them for a smooth transition into adulthood. Some are returning to areas they had worked prior, others would be moving to entirely new states, and some would be returning home for good.

PSE Degree Opens New Paths

Dr. Seuss once wrote “You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose,” and for students in the Paper Science department their degree can send them along any path.  Here is a map that shows loctions where some of the  May  and December 2016 graduates will be headed.

Congratulations class of 2016!  Thank you for all that you have contributed and good luck with your future endeavors.
