Ready to Run with my Pack Again

Spring break promised to be a time to refresh and rejuvenate before completing my final semester as a freshman at NC State.  When I left for Spring Break on March 6, I had no idea that I would not return to my life, as I knew it, and that life would be, or even could be so different.

New, but Temporary Normal

I know this time will pass and I cannot wait to return to life before COVID-19, but my new norm is college life . . . at home.  It is far more difficult than I expected. I feel like I am in this weird mix of being in high school again, but in college at the same time. The hardest part of all of this is the loss of social connection and student life. I took for granted the time I got to spend with my friends and fellow members of the Wolfpack. Life at home is especially different for me now, not just because of the quarantine, but my family is in the transition of moving to a new city. We don’t have much space in our apartment, so my work area is either the couch or the dining room table.

Ready to Reunite the Wolfpack

Although transitioning to online classes has been challenging, the faculty and staff in the PSE program have been right by our side to make sure we are still getting the best education possible. Hopefully, we can return to normal soon and be able to reunite the Wolfpack family in the fall, I miss everyone!
