Meet Carlton Emerson, a 2022 PSE and Business Entrepreneurship graduate, he fondly recalls his time with the program including beating Clemson in a 2021 game and rushing the field! A CRU and TAPPI member and also Order of the Engineer and BassPack, he has many college memories and we catch up with him to learn more about what made PSE special for him and where he is today. Carlton’s favorite parts of the program were his summer internships, small class sizes and the family-like atmosphere of support provided by his professors and staff…in particular, Dr. Pawlak and PSE 212. In his current role at Prometheus Group he is an APM Implementation Team Lead and enjoys working with customers to help solve complex problems. One surprising benefit to his work is being able to support clients across many industries and sectors.

Carlton says current undergraduate students should, “Lean on on your resources within the PSE program and College of Natural Resources, not just for coursework or academia, but also professional development and growth.” In other words, take advantage of the built in structure and offerings to make the most of your college career. Attending campus events and having fun tailgating don’t have to end with your student career, alumni return to enjoy the camaderie years later!
