Why did you Choose NC State:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
I really love STEM subjects, and I\u2019ve always wanted to study chemical engineering. When I found out about the dual degree program with chemical engineering and paper science and engineering, I was really interested in this as well. It will allow me to explore sustainability and learn about a subject I had never really considered. I also really like the family feel that CNR has; everyone has been super friendly and welcoming so far, and I can\u2019t wait to meet my new classmates.

What activities did you participate in during high school? What was you favorite and why?<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
I worked as a student lab assistant for the chemistry department at NCSSM during my senior year as my senior leadership\/campus work service position. <\/span><\/span><\/li>
I also worked as a manager at a Dairy Queen store in Clinton during the summers of 2019 and 2020, and also during winter of 2020\/2021 while I was on break from school. <\/span><\/span><\/li>
At NCSSM I was in KEY club (community service organization), FIELD club (hiking\/outdoors), Bhangra (Indian dance group), and I was on the varsity softball team for my first season, which was cut short because of COVID.<\/li>
I am also part of different 4-H clubs and am in the girl scouts, where I do lots of community service activities and different workshops. I\u2019ve been in 4-H for 12 years, and through 4-H I have participated in different competitions and expanded my interests.<\/li>
My favorite activity has been 4-H because I am able to do so much through the many clubs I\u2019m in. I did different competitions (public speaking, horse bowl, etc.), workshops, and got to do fun things with the many friends I\u2019ve made.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n
What are you most excited about as you head to NC State?<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
I am looking forward to exploring my interests and being able to learn about what I love. I\u2019m ready to meet new people and create connections that will help me in my future. I\u2019m also really excited about studying abroad and having research opportunities. <\/span><\/li>
Another thing I\u2019m looking forward to is different opportunities and fun activities in the University Scholars program; I was accepted into this program and it sounds very beneficial.

What would people be surprised to know about you?<\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n
I am a very outdoorsy person; I love hiking, kayaking, swimming, and overall just exploring nature.<\/span><\/li>
Another fun fact is that I am a first generation American. My parents immigrated from Poland, and all of my extended family lives there. I have dual citizenship and visit my family in Poland every 2 years.<\/span><\/li><\/ul>\n","protected":false,"raw":"\n
