This year we are excited to announce three opportunities for college students to be more involved with the 2016 State Energy Conference of North Carolina. The following opportunities are open to both undergraduate and graduate students:
- Student research poster session: College and university students are invited to showcase energy focused research, capstone and community projects as poster presentations during the 2016 State Energy Conference. Posters may be on subjects related to energy policy, market development, planning, engineering, inter allia. Registration is free for students selected to present posters. Complete and submit the Student Poster Submission Form by March 14, 2016.
- Career Fair sponsored by the Research Triangle Cleantech Cluster: The Cleantech Connect Career Fair will take place on April 21, 2016 from 3:00 – 5:00 PM in conjunction with the State Energy Conference at NC State University’s McKimmon Center. Students seeking internships or jobs are encouraged to attend. You do not have to participate in the conference to attend the career fair (which is held after the conference concludes).The Cleantech and Energy Career Fair is focused on providing employers with a platform to promote job opportunities and career information to skilled professionals, job seekers and students seeking internships.
- Volunteering at the conference: (Must present a valid student ID): Volunteers are expected to be available for at least 1.5 hours during the duration of the conference. In exchange for at least 1.5 hours of volunteer time, volunteers will be given a complimentary registration to the day of the conference that they are volunteering. Please note that registration for volunteering is not yet open.
