Environmental Sciences adopted a stream on Centennial Campus

adopt a streamGet involved by helping to keep a local stream clean! The Environmental Sciences Academic Program has adopted a Centennial Campus stream through the NC Wastewater Management’s Adopt-A-Stream Program. The stream is a Walnut Creek tributary that is easily accessible as its right here on NC State’s campus. The ES Academic Program will conduct 2 clean-ups a year. We will collect the trash
for city pick-up and fill out field data sheets that notify the city of any pollution sources found. This is a great opportunity to get more involved with students and faculty in the program, working together to protect our streams!
The Walnut Creek tributary will also be our clean-up location site for Service Raleigh on Saturday, April 9th, so make sure to sign up to participate! We’re very excited about this opportunity and hope to have as many students involved as possible.  You can register here, http://www.serviceraleigh.org/register/  our group name is Environmental Sciences Academic Program.
Let’s get outside and give back!
