Are you already a student at NC State University and interested in transferring into one of our majors?  We offer students a variety majors to choose from that all focus on equipping students with real-world experience through hands-on learning in the classroom, in labs and even outside!  If you are ready to consider transferring to the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources, the first step is to use the “What If” tool on your degree audit in MyPackPortal.  This tool will allow you to see how your previous and current classes fall into the curriculum in which you are interested.

After you have explored the “What If” tool on your degree audit, we recommend the following steps:

  • Contact the appropriate Program Coordinator to express your interest in transferring to one of our majors. Below are listed the majors and their Program Coordinators:
  • Complete any steps required by the Program Coordinator of the specific major in which you are interested.
  • If requested by the Program Coordinator, fill out the Change of Degree Application (CODA) form in MyPackPortal with your intent to transfer majors.
  • After being accepted to transfer, plan your classes according to the 8-semester display for the appropriate major.
