Students spend one academic year at another institution \u2014 preferably a North Carolina community college \u2014 while receiving mentoring, academic advising and support from the College of Natural Resources\u2019 Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dale Earnhardt Legacy Program participants also have the opportunity to apply for dedicated funding to enhance their experiential learning. Some eligible uses include study abroad, conference participation, unpaid internship assistance and other opportunities that meaningfully contribute to academic enrichment and hands-on learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Take the First Step<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To participate, students must be admitted to the Dale Earnhardt Legacy Program before enrolling at another institution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a
