Assistant Teaching Professor
Vaishnavi is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Geospatial Information Science & Technology. She teaches both graduate and undergraduate level courses in GIS at the Center for Geospatial Analytics. Her research interests include spatial optimization, spatial statistics, spatial analysis and modeling, geocomputation and implementation of these techniques for disaster mitigation and resource management. Most recently, she has been developing geospatial models for wildfire mitigation. Vaishnavi received her Ph.D. in Geospatial Information Sciences from the University of Texas at Dallas.
