Helena Mitasova Elected To Open Source Geospatial Foundation Board Of Directors

Dr. Helena Mitasova, a Center Faculty Fellow and the Associate Director of Geovisualization, was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation, or OSGeo.

This distinguished board membership is recognition of world-wide community trust in Dr. Mitasova’s vision and leadership for the future of the Open Source Geospatial Foundation. OSGeo’s mission is to support the collaborative development of open source geospatial software, and promote its widespread use.  As OSGeo board member, Dr. Mitasova will continue to strengthen the connections between the open source geospatial projects and academia through the Geo4All initiative, whose mission is to make geospatial education and opportunities accessible to all.
