In 2012, center researchers Siamak Khorram and Stacy Nelson – along with Frank Koch, a research ecologist at the USDA, and Cynthia van der Wiele, currently a senior environmental scientist at the EPA – published Remote Sensing, a guide to understanding the technical and practical aspects of collecting and interpreting geospatial data from satellites and aircraft. Newly released stats by Springer International Publishing place the work among the top 25% most downloaded eBooks from Springer in 2015. Since publication, the eBook edition has been downloaded nearly twenty thousand times worldwide. The book has also been cited by international researchers in peer-reviewed articles and continues to be available in both digital and print through Springer and Amazon.

Congrats to all co-authors on such fine work!
