Katie uses geospatial analytics to<\/strong> examine how disturbances affect landscape ecosystem services, including clean water, carbon sequestration and wildlife habitat. She applies ecohydrology modeling frameworks<\/strong>\u00a0to understand how climate and land use change might affect water availability in the Southeast U.S. and whether forests can be managed for drought mitigation. Other interests include<\/strong> forest and fire management for biodiversity, carbon storage and other ecosystem services.<\/p>\n
