Work within the service department with focus on learning hardware, calibration, and install procedures in order to perform inside/outside service and installs. Provide high quality support to customers in the field and inside the office. This position will have involvement with Lasers, optics and Total station calibrations as well as working with GPS receiver and data collectors. The position will also work with machine control systems on heavy equipment used in heavy civil projects.
General responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Completing field install accurately and efficiently
Accurately diagnosing and resolving service issues
Submitting accurate and complete paper work
Ability to self manage your time
Work a minimum of 40 hours per week
Present an appropriate business appearance at all times and maintain professionalism
Reporting all issues to their direct supervisor
Communicate constructively to management and team members
Travel within the sales territories of Benchmark Tool and Supply
Education and Work Experience
High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor’s degree in business, marketing or engineering preferred.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Basic computer knowledge required. Intermediate computer knowledge preferred. Ability to use electronic/electrical test equipment a plus. Ability to use various hand tools to complete installs. Welding/Fabrication skills is a plus. Must be a self starter.
Equipment and Applications
Must be capable of learning new hardware and systems on a continuous basis.
General knowledge of windows and windows applications a strong plus.
