Bond Park Community Center is seeking energetic, creative, and top-quality individuals at least 18 years of age who are enthusiastic about working with elementary-aged children or teens to serve as Track-Out Camp Staff or Track-Out Camp Activity Specialists. Candidates must be available to work 15-20 hours per week (up to 40 weeks), with a flexible schedule, Monday through Friday.
General responsibilities will be to effectively plan, organize, and instruct recreational and educational activities for year-round youth day camps. Specific details for each of the position areas are included in "Typical Tasks" below.
Employment starts in September and runs through May. Additional employment is possible beyond May. Applicants selected as Camp Staff must participate in general staff training before camps begin. Applicants selected as Activity Specialists must participate in specialist-based training and general staff training before camps Hiring range is $11.50 - $12.50/hr for Track-Out Camp Staff and $12.75- $14.00/hr for Track-Out Camp Activity Specialists.
Preferences for Track-Out Camp Staff and Track-Out Activity Specialists are:
Previous camp setting experience or experience working with children in a group setting.
CPR/First-aid certified. If not certified, requires completion of provided training.
Activity Specialists who have a combination of education and experience equivalent to two or more years of college with major course work in recreation, physical education, elementary/middle/high school education, or closely related field.
Requires drug testing and background check (which may include criminal check, education verification, and credit history review) prior to employment.
Activity Specialists must possess a valid driver's license with acceptable driving history
