Description

Field Engineer, Construction Materials Tester, Inspector, to join their team.  

The individual will be working on a variety of projects with owners, contractors and engineers in effort to inspect soils, concrete, rebar, aggregate, masonry etc..

 

This is an entry level to special inspection level position so no experience is needed but some experience is a plus. 

This position includes paid training, payment of certifications, full benefits, and a company truck. The pay is competitive and there is a bump in pay when you earn more certifications and after several performance reviews.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements;

Competent in the use of a laptop with MS Word, excel and outlook email
Good work history (if you have work history)
HS Diploma
Driving record acceptable to our insurer (for driving company vehicles)
Pass a drug test

Preference will be given to individuals with an engineering, environmental, agricultural, or biology degree.


Preferred additional certifications / experience;

3+ years of experience in the CMT/SI field
NCDOT Concrete Field Tech Level 1 certification
Other NCDOT Field Tech certifications (there are many)
NICET related certifications (such as soils, concrete, asphalt, geotechnical field, geotechnical lab)
ICC Special Inspector Certifications (such as Reinforced Concrete,
Masonry, Welding, Bolting, Soils, Spray Fireproofing, Prestressed Concrete) 

Salary

$15 - $30 per hour
