Description

The Solar / Energy Storage Systems Electrician will be responsible for connecting the PV and/or Energy Storage system to the building's electrical system. The installation will require an understanding of the NEC as well as an understanding of D/C and A/C wiring systems operating at Medium Voltage (0-600 Volts).

Responsibilities:


Coordinate and communicate weekly/daily schedules


Proactive planning and preparation for installations


Managing and reporting warehouse and work van stock levels
Documenting installation and completing post installation expense reports
Handle staging, layout, and all aspects of the electrical installation


Reading and comprehension of construction plan sets and electrical line diagrams
Collaborate with our Project Managers and Installers


Responsible for upkeep of personal tools and equipment needed to complete projects


Adhere to OSHA safety standards along with company policies


Perform instructed duties and follow directions


Installation from the PV system down to the interconnection point


Complete installation of energy storage systems
Requirements:


Electrical licensing and/or NABCEP accreditation is preferred, but not required


Minimum 2 years experience as an electrician or solar professional
Understanding and use of the NEC code book


Understanding of construction procedures and materials


Understanding of Medium Voltage electrical systems


Understanding of electrical safety


Must be comfortable working from heights including ladders, roof surfaces, and elevated work platforms.


Clean driving record, current license, and personal transportation


Able to work in challenging and physically demanding environments


Flexible and able to adapt to onsite conditions


Solid written and verbal communication skills


Excellent customer interaction when dealing with clients


Must be able to get along with others in a fast-paced environment while working in a team setting


Basic computer knowledge is a plus (Excel, Word, Google Drive, CAD, Salesforce)


Able to lift and carry 50 pounds (ca. 23 kg) regularly
