DEECO Inc. is a Raleigh-based environmental consulting firm that provides services to a variety of clients all across the US. Deeco has an immediate opening for a driven and hard-working environmental technician; with a focus on field sampling, technical writing and chemistry.
Responsibilities
-Air sampling and data recording in an industrial environment
-Organizing field data, data entry using custom spreadsheets and writing technical reports.
-Laboratory duties, equipment maintenance, and loading/unloading equipment.
-Driving company truck and mobile lab to and from job sites.
-The candidate will be expected to travel when not performing office duties. Travel can be extensive at times, including extended hours with pay + per diem, as applicable.
-Good physical condition (able to lift 50 lbs) and willingness to work outdoors is required.
-Must be willing to work at elevation.
Requirements
-BS in Environmental Science/Technology or related field
-Computer literacy and familiarity with Word Processing/Spreadsheet software is required. Knowledge of chemistry or laboratory operations/procedures is a plus.
-In addition to normal business hours, work schedules may include after hours and weekends as needed.
-Frequent work outside and in inclement weather conditions is required, including heat, cold, and humidity.
-Must be willing and able to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required.
Frequent travel is required.
-Valid driver's license.
-All candidates required to undergo background check and drug screening.
