AFM’s Mid-Atlantic region has an opening for a Summer Internship reporting to the District Manager. As an intern at AFM, you will be paired with a forester throughout your summer to gain a wide range of forestry and business experience. Activities will mostly include inventory work using a variety of cruising techniques, reforestation surveys, PCT layout and compliance, marking timber sale stream buffers and unit boundaries, road inspection & road inventory, and other duties assigned by AFM foresters.

· Pursuing a Degree in Forestry or Natural Resources
· Desire to learn more about a consulting forestry career
· Experience in forest inventory is a plus.
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; working knowledge of GIS & GPS applications is a plus.
· Must have personal skills necessary to communicate with AFM team members, managers, and contractors.
· Valid driver’s license.
At AFM, our people are our top priority, and that includes our interns. The position is flexible with start and end dates to accommodate class schedules. This is a paid position, the pay is to be between $14-$15 an hour.
