SOLAR INSTALLATION FOREMAN
Full-time hourly position based in Raleigh, NC
$22.00 - $25.00 hourly, based on experience

Southern Energy Management "SEM" is looking for an experienced individual to fill the role of Solar Installation Foreman. The responsibilities of the foreman will include: installing residential solar arrays at customer's homes, overseeing the installs are completed to Southern Energy Management's quality standards, recording and submitting all relevant paperwork required on each job, and managing individual install crews. The foreman will be responsible for a crew of 3 team members, including themself. They will be given a new install to complete in an allotted period of time, and be held responsible for that install being accomplished.
We are seeking a full-time Solar Installation Foreman to assist and participate in the physical installation of residential solar roof and ground mounted arrays.
This position will consist of minimum, 40 hour work weeks. This job will be based out of our Raleigh, NC office with around 25% of time being spent out of town working remotely in both NC and SC. Candidates should expect to be out of town at least 1 week out of the month.
What You'll Do In This Job:
Carry modules up a ladder
Setting up/installing racking system on roof
Setting modules to racking
Running conduit in attics and crawlspaces
Pulling wire in conduit
OSHA 10 certification (preferred before hire but required before starting)
General construction knowledge and/or experience along with the ability to use hand tools (drills, saws, drivers).
Ability to work at high heights with the use of a safety harness, outdoors, in attics and crawlspaces in extreme conditions.
Ability to work outside in all weather conditions that NC has to offer
Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds up and down a ladder
Excellent communication and team working skills
A four year degree in a relevant electrical/renewable energy field is preferred, but not required.
High school diploma is required.
Minimum 2 years solar installation experience; this will include experience installing solar panels on rooftops and installation of all electrical components.
General knowledge of NEC code in relation to solar installations, journeyman card is preferrable but not required.
Purchase a set of their own personal tools for work â€“ list provided by SEM.
