Description

This position is primarily responsible for the management of a statistics program aimed at monitoring
and tracking waste equipment sales and use across North America. Primary duties include collection
and aggregation of data via direct contact with equipment manufacturers and users, data collection and
correlation to related variables (e.g. waste volume), trend analysis, and routine reporting to program
participants. The position will also work on correlated datasets that support the equipment statistics
program related to waste generation, end points of disposal, etc. The position will work closely with the
President & CEO but will report directly to the Data and Policy Program (D&P) Manager.
Principle Responsibilities:

• Preparing and managing a data acquisition protocol that ensures robust information collection
and ensures a high level of confidence
• Managing the various stakeholders in the program, including entities supplying data, project
partners and related entities
• Managing data submission platforms that are efficient and convenient for participants
• Aggregating and analyzing the data collected
• Preparing routine reports from the program
• Supports for other Foundation activities, as requested.
Desired Qualifications
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Environmental Science,
Environmental Engineering, Sustainability or a related degree that emphasizes data analysis
• 1 or more years of experience is preferred for a Bachelor’s degree, 3 - 5 years of experience is
preferred for an Associate’s degree
• Strong analytical and data analysis skills, with proficiency in managing/analyzing large data sets
• High proficiency in Excel, including the creation of graphs, is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multi-task and execute
critical path thinking to maximize efficiency.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Motivation to take initiative and work well both independently and collaboratively
• Proficient in Word, PowerPoint and other Office application; experience with GIS a plus.
