•Develop an understanding of the FRC business model, especially the importance ofproducing high quality products in a cost-effective manner.
•Develop and maintain new and existing property level data and layers to FRC standards.
•Develop and maintain online GIS datasets for various clients using ArcGIS Online, Enterprise,and associated applications like Collector, Field Maps, and Story Maps.
•Develop an understanding of forest inventory systems and how FRC manages inventorydata.
•Develop an understanding of ArcGIS and associated tools, including an understanding ofrelational databases such as SQL Server and their use at FRC.
•Generate various project related maps, reports, and documents for clients.
•Maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control for existing datasets.
•Participate in reviews of current technology and innovations in the geo-spatial arena.
•Assist with other special projects as requested.
•Participate with our Technical Services team, which provides various technical services toFRC managers and clients.
•Promote a positive image of FRC with clients, associates, contractors, and the public.
â€¢BA/BS degree in Forestry, Natural Resources, or Geography with significant GIS coursework.
â€¢Classroom or practical experience with ArcGIS 10.x or higher, GIS databasemanagement, and cartographic production.
â€¢Desire to learn Esriâ€™s ArcGIS Online and Enterprise setup, management, andsupport.
â€¢Desire to learn data conversion and migration techniques between variousdatabase platforms.
â€¢Desire to learn database management tools like MS Access and SQL Server.
â€¢Working knowledge of standard computer software packages like MS Word andExcel.
â€¢Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
â€¢Must possess good interpersonal skills and be able to work well with others in teamproduction situations.
â€¢Ability and willingness to travel occasionally.
