Arborist / Tree Climber
We have multiple openings for a reliable arborist that can get up and down quickly and safely. The arborist is a critical role in the success of JR Tree Service and Landscaping. We pride ourselves on maintaining the health of our customers’ trees. We are the tree pruning and healthcare experts in Greensboro, and we are opening a new location to better serve the High Point and Winston-Salem markets. The arborist has a customer facing position with a great deal of responsibility.

Duties:
Climb trees without spikes to perform pruning or take downs
Safely and productively provide arboricultural care for our clients
Jobsite hazards avoidance
Pruning, thinning and removing deadwood throughout the tree canopy
Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
Removal of hazardous trees
Direct grounds men
Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more

COMPENSATION:
$18-25/hour
In-depth knowledge of pruning and removing of large trees using proper cuts and safe rigging
NC driver’s license with clean record for at least 3 years
CDL is a plus
Can effectively operate bucket truck, stump grinder and chipper
Ability to identify common woody plant species
ISA certified Tree Worker or Arborist preferred
Associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred
